International Investment Advisor

This position will be responsible for establishing new client relationships and managing existing clients - helping them navigate the complexities of overseas wealth management.

Cross Border Wealth is a U.S.-based global investment advisory firm that specializes in cross-border financial planning solutions. Headquartered in New York, with offices across the United States and Asia, the firm is focused on helping U.S.-connected global individuals navigate the complexities of managing wealth from abroad.

As the firm continues to grow its global presence, the firm is expanding and looking to hire an International Investment Advisor to work in its Pittsburgh, U.S. office.

This person will be responsible for establishing new client relationships and managing existing U.S.-based clients with U.K. and other foreign pensions.

The candidate should have financial planning and investment sales experience, the capacity to understand and thoughtfully explain foreign pension structures, be globally-minded, curious, mature, intelligent, polished, trustworthy, detailed-oriented, and have professional communication skills. Experience with U.S. retirement plans, accounts, and rollover options preferred.

This is a unique opportunity, as the firm's business is highly specialized with minimal competition and works in an underserved market. The firm will provide training, an expansive database with qualified leads and full administrative support.

 

Responsibilities

  • Engage prospective clients via phone, Teams, email and other platforms.
  • Analyze and review the client's current financial position.
  • Provide appropriate and compliant cross-border solutions.
  • Work with the administrative team to onboard new clients.
  • Work with the administrative team to support ongoing client servicing.
  • Build strong relationships to retain existing clients and develop referral business.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of relevant regulations.

 

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales and client-facing experience in financial services.
  • International experience preferred.
  • Series 65 license - Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination - preferred.
  • CFP or CHFC preferred.
  • Phone sales experience.
  • Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot).
  • Self-starter and high level of attention to detail
  • Strong code of ethics.
  • Excellent communication skills, English preferred.

This is a business development role. Remuneration consists of salary, bonuses, and revenue participation. Total remuneration first to second year should be $75-$200k, with the expectation of significant pay increases annually. Additional revenue potential for advisors with a transferable book of business.
